Not all waste is created equal — and not all of it belongs in your main bin. Take the time to separate out materials properly, especially tricky items made from two components (like contact lens packaging with foil and plastic).
Set up a soft plastics bin in your kitchen and make it part of your routine. Most supermarkets now offer collection points, so it’s easier than ever to keep this stuff out of landfill.
Then take it a step further: make it your mission to have nothing in your landfill bin. Every time you put it out, reassess what’s in there. What could you have recycled, repurposed, or avoided altogether? Use each month as a chance to manage that last bit of waste even better. It’s not about being perfect — it’s about being curious, committed, and always improving.
