Reduce Shopping Trips – Shop with a Strategy
We’ve all done it — popped out for one thing, come back with ten. So why not have a strategy around how often you shop in the first place? Whether it’s for food, clothes, or bits for the house, fewer trips means fewer temptations — and fewer impulse buys.
I keep a running list in the kitchen of things I think I need. It’s basically the in-person version of the online purchase pause. If it’s still on the list a few days (or weeks) later and I’ve got the budget for it, then I’ll go shopping — with purpose. I also stick to online grocery shopping where I can, so I’m not swayed by whatever’s on offer at the end of the aisle.
Fewer trips. Fewer regrets. More intentional choices. And way less chance of becoming a marketeer’s dream.
