Honestly, why are we still wrapping toilet roll in plastic? It’s one of the easiest, most obvious swaps you can make. Go for recycled, unbleached, or bamboo loo roll — better for the planet and way less wasteful.

I bulk buy from Who Gives a Crap — no plastic, no nasties, just good rolls that turn up in fun paper packaging (bonus: they look great stacked in the bathroom). It saves me money and faff. Plus, it’s one of those changes that adds up fast — you'll be surprised how much waste you’re not creating anymore.
